Ben Affleck full name Benjamin Geza Affleck-Boldt is an American actor, director, producer, and screenwriter. On August 15, 1972, in Berkeley, California Ben Affleck was born. His father, Timonthy Byers Affleck is a social worker and his mother Chris Anne is a schoolteacher. He also has a younger brother name Casey Affleck who is 3 years younger than he is.
Later, when he was 11 years old his parents got divorced and he and his brother moved to Cambridge, Massachusetts along with his mother and grew up there. At the new place, people who worked in the arts surrounded him. He would regularly attend theater performances with her mother and brother and that is what inspired him to make his own home movie someday.
Ben wanted to become an actor from a very young age. He along with his brother started giving auditions for various local commercials and film production. As his mother had a good friendship with Cambridge are casting director, he got his first acting experience was at the age of seven. At the time, he appeared in an indented movie produced by a friend of the family, David Wheeler. He was also Ben’s acting mentor. The movie title was “The Dark End of the Street” which was released in 1979. There he enrolled himself to Occidental College where he began to study Middle Eastern affairs but only studied for one and half years.
Ben Affleck did many small roles in movie such as “Daddy” (1991), “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1992), “School Tire” (1992), “Against the Grain” (1993), and “Body to Die For: The Aaron Henry Story” (1994). In 1993, he got his first notable role in the movie “Dazed and Confused” where he played the role of a high school bully. Ben got his first starring film role in the movie “Glory Daze” in 1995. In the same year, he also appeared in the movie “Mallrats” where he played the role of a bully. On set, he formed a good friendship with Smith who later put him in a lead role in a movie. In 1997, Ben debuted his lead role in the movie “Chasing Amy” which was a romantic comedy film. This movie was the big break for Ben, his acting skills very praised by the critics as well as the audience.
Later, the same year Ben starred in the coming-of-age drama titled “Going All The Way” where he played the role of a recently returned Korean War veteran. The year 1997 was the greatest year for Ben, as the movie “Good Will Hunting” which he co-wrote and acted in was a huge success. The screenplay of the movie originated when Damon wrote about 40 pages of the script and asked Ben to act out the scenes. Later both of them worked on the script and sold it to Castle Rock in 1994. Later both friends won the Golden Globe Award and Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
After splitting in 2015, the father of three officially filed for divorce from his wife of almost 10 years, Jennifer Garner, three months ago. Currently, Ben is single.
